Meet Matt Lakis, principal of Des Moines Prep high school, at the Iowa School Choice Fair!

Matt has more than a decade of experience in education in and around Des Moines. Starting as an English teacher and sports coach, Matt quickly took on larger roles. He was an Associate Principal and Literacy Coach at Des Moines Public Schools, and the Principal of Woodward-Granger High School. His contributions in districts big and small helped create rigorous and dynamic learning environments for students.

Construction is underway! Our state-of-the-art campus will be in the historic East Village neighborhood, blocks from the State Capitol building.
Applications are open for the 9th grade. The deadline to submit your application is March 14, 2025 at 11:59 p.m.
